Vinimos por dos días pero ha sido un maravilloso descubrimiento y ojalá habernos quedado más días. La atención de Gloria y de Valeria,el entorno,la energía y la paz que se respira,la limpieza y lo coqueto de los bungalows...Maravilloso todo!! This bed-and-breakfast does not disappoint! Tucked away quietly in the mountains, surrounded by Orchards and immersed in gardens, spend your days relaxing in the pool or contemplating the slower life in the manicured grounds. We had the pleasure of taking the electric bicycle trip he offers, and I cannot recommend it enough. This six hour tour sounds overwhelming but you only bicycle for short periods of time and then spend the remaining breaks enjoying local cuisine, relaxing with a specially prepared picnic in a secret garden for breakfast, and stopping for a delicious lunch in a grove of cork trees. I would come back to Portugal just for this experience. and if you happen to be within A days travel;) you absolutely cannot miss this! ~ Charles M
Wir waren zu zweit zu Gast im Gato Preto und hatten eine unvergesslich gute Zeit. Die Besitzerin hat sich extrem gut um uns gesorgt und war jederzeit ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Jederzeit offen für Empfehlungen und mit hilfreichen Tipps ! Absolute Empfehlung in jeglicher Hinsicht ! Die Sauberkeit ist makellos. We really enjoyed our stay at gato preto. The rooms were nice and clean, we had a lot of privacy and the outdoor kitchen made our stay special. The place also offers a nice pool and is - besides the barking of some dogs - nice and quiet. A minor drawback was the cooking pan that was already quite worn out and didn't cook our fried eggs too nicely :) Also I would have whished for water saving shower heads (and water outlets for the sink). There are signs that tell you about the need to save water as the algarve is a quite dry area - so I always got a bad conscience when washing my hands as there was a lot of water coming out. But all in all we loved our stay at this beautiful place and would come back anytime =) ~ Hans S
What a fantastic place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hostess is incredibly friendly and makes sure you feel welcome right away. The accommodation is truly amazing: the cottage is comfortable, atmospheric, and fully equipped. The beds are wonderful, the kitchen is fully equipped, and there is even a washing machine available. There are nice seating areas and sunbeds both indoors and outdoors, and everything is kept very clean. There is plenty of privacy and tranquility, which truly makes it a place to fully relax. The pool is lovely, and the terrace is a great place to enjoy yourself. The location is perfect: very central, making it easy to visit various beaches — from large beaches to small hidden gems. There are also all kinds of nice places in the surrounding area to discover. In short: highly recommended! As far as we are concerned, this is a 5-star-plus accommodation. SAS ~ Less M
Wij hebben genoten van een heel aangenaam verblijf bij Gato Preto! Mooi natuurlijk, rustig domein en de kamer (inclusief kitchenette en badkamer) waren zeker in orde. 'S avonds wel nood aan verwarming (april 2025). Wat geblaf van de lokale honden en gekwaak van de kikkers... Maar dit is eigen aan de natuur en zeker niet storend. Gloria en haar team zijn heel vriendelijk, warm en prima bereikbaar. Een aanrader!! ~ Joke P
Wenn sich das Tor zum Grundstück öffnet betritt man ein kleines Paradies. In einem sehr schönen und gepflegten Garten hat jedes Häuschen genügend Platz für die Privatsphäre. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmässig mit liebevollen Details. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Die Besitzer sind super freundlich und nett. Der Service ist sehr gut. Ein herrlicher Ort zum Relaxen mit sehr schöner Aussicht und auch für Unternehmungen zentral gelegen. Wir würden jeder Zeit wieder kommen. ~ Silke K
Eine kleine Oase in der Nähe des mittelalterlichen Städtchen Silves. Die "Hütten" sind liebevoll und individuell gestaltet und so platziert, dass man tatsächlich Ruhe hat. Der Garten ist wunderschön, der Salzwasserpool klasse. Den liebevollen Service und das leckere Frühstück vermissen wir jetzt schon. ~ Manuela B
Nous avons passé un séjour formidable. Gloria est une hôtesse exceptionnelle qui donne d'excellents conseils et nous fait nous sentir à l'aise. Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux et l'endroit est un véritable paradis pour se reposer. Notre logement était parfaitement équipé et tout était bien pensé. Merci, Gloria ! ~ Ingrid P
Increíble lugar con una calidad, limpieza y dedicación que no encuentras en un hotel de 5 estrellas. Pasamos 4 noches aquí, está situado a una distancia perfecta para visitar todo el Algarbe. Recomendado sus desayunos. Se llena en temporada alta. Reservar con tiempo. ~ MAOT
Vriendelijk, mooie omgeving, netjes, goed ontbijt, het meisje dat het ontbijt regelt is erg lief en vriendelijk, elke dag heb je weer iets anders bij het ontbijt zoals een croissant of een pastel de nata of een muffin. Dank je wel voor alles! Groetjes uit Nederland ~ chantal v
Absolutely wonderful stay! The Gato Preto de Silves is a bit of heaven tucked away in the countryside of Silves. Mateus & Gloria have created an oasis with their gardens, the cozy accommodation meld within the landscape and the wonderful care taken to make us comfortable. The abundant “Friday night gastronomic meal” was astounding. Lovely flavors beautifully presented. We packed a picnic for it for the next day and hiked into the hills behind the property. It it a place of peace, contentment and proper relaxation! ~ Emily H

Pas d’autres mots que PARFAIT. Largement mieux que sur les photos. Je recommande a tout le monde ! Autant pour le cadre que pour l’accueil. Des petits déjeuners magnifiques…. Une piscine superbe et une chambre merveilleuse. Le plus beau séjour de ma vie . ~ M J
Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit Liebe zum Detail. Wir waren begeistert und kommen gerne wieder. Auch Gloria (Besitzerin) ist super freundlich und sehr bemüht, dass man sich dort wohlfühlt. Zurecht fünf Sterne in allen Bereichen. ~ Holger H
Bellissima struttura sulle colline vicino a Silves. Posizione e paesaggio fantastico. Ottimo per visitare le spiagge della zona ... e poi rilassarsi nella piscina della struttura. Gloria e tutto lo staff sono stati perfetti. Colazione favolosa. ~ norberto s

Un voyage fabuleux dans un foraine poétique. L'algarve peut se féliciter d'avoir des personnes comme Gloria et Bruno à Silves. Des hôtes très agréable à connaître. Ils ont été au petits soins jusqu'à la fin de notre séjour ! Le domaine est sensationnel, le calme se mélange parfaitement à nos amis les chats ! Le lieu en lui même est magnifique et la cabine est totalement opérationnel. Si vous venez passer quelques jours dans cette belle région, n'hésitez pas à prendre vos nuits ici...sincèrement c'était génial. Cécile et Nicolas ~ Nini P
Absolute Weiterempfehlung! Das Resort ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sauber. Das Personal ist unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam und kundenorientiert – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und rundum wohl ~ 315 V
Tolle Unterkunft wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr nette Besitzer die sich um jeden Wunsch kümmern. Frühstück auch sehr zu empfehlen! Morgends konnte man von der Unterkunft super den Sonnenaufgang anschauen! ~ Marvin G
Beautiful peaceful place to stay. The owners Gloria and Matteo are friendly and helpful. We stayed 6 days in the room with kitchenette attached to the house. Everything was clean, comfortable bed and spacious terrace. Breakfast was served on the main terrace prepared by the very kind Brazilian breakfast chef. Everything was fresh and prepared with attention and variety. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the near future. ~ Jeannette P
A hidden gem tucked away on the countryside just outside of Silves. We had a very comfortable cabin with a lovely outdoor kitchen & a sunny wooden deck where a royal breakfast was served every morning. Matteo maintains an impressive rocky mediterranian garden to surround the cabins with, which makes for a stunning short walk to the pool when one needs a dip to cool off. Highly recommended place to unwind on holiday. ~ Marloes d
Tolle Anlage zum Entspannen, wir hatten einen bungalow mit Talblick, hübsch eingerichtet und liebevoll gemacht. Pool wunderschön, Frühstück wird auf die Terrasse gebracht und eine outdoor Küche gibt es auch ~ Matthias E
Really lovely place with nice owners. Rooms are luxurious with a great shower (we stayed @ Old Portugal). Beds are also really comfortable. Breakfast was served at the appartment where there was a nice sitting area outside. Also some activities were organised, we enjoyed the biking tour. Highly recommended.
